FB.Tools Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 16, 2026
This policy describes what data FB.Tools services process: (a) the FB.Tools browser extension version 1.3.0 and later and (b) the fb.tools website, including its public shop catalog. By installing the extension or using the fb.tools website you agree to this policy.
1. Scope
This policy governs data processing in the FB.Tools browser extension for Chrome (Manifest V3) and Firefox, and on the fb.tools website, including its public shop catalog. It does not cover separate FB.Tools subdomains — 2fa.fb.tools (TOTP generator) and check.fb.tools (account checker) — each of which has its own policy. The services are operated by FB.Tools.
2. Extension: data stored locally
The Extension stores a minimal set of technical values in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your computer and is not transmitted to FB.Tools servers. The following keys are stored:
- eaab, lsd, dtsg, fbid — Facebook session tokens extracted from the active Ads Manager tab. They live for 1 hour from extraction and are automatically refreshed afterwards.
- act_id — identifier of the most recently viewed ad account. Stored until the extension is removed or storage is cleared; used only to speed up subsequent popup opens.
- analytics_client_id — random UUID generated by crypto.randomUUID() on first run. Used as an anonymous client identifier for Google Analytics. Not linked to your Facebook account and not shared with third parties other than Google.
3. Extension: data received from Facebook
When you open the Extension popup it issues requests to Facebook Graph API v25.0 and Facebook GraphQL API on your behalf, using your own session cookies and tokens. Responses contain your profile information, the list of ad accounts, Pages, Business Managers, as well as payment methods, spend limits, violations and quality data. This data is displayed in the popup and held only in the memory of the open popup window — it is not written to disk, not transmitted to FB.Tools servers and not shared with any third party.
4. Catalog: how the storefront works
The shop catalog on fb.tools is an independent public storefront — a list of items and shops available without registration. fb.tools is not a marketplace, does not accept payments, does not store orders and is not a party to any transaction. When you click a product or a shop, your browser is redirected to the third-party seller's site; everything that follows (browsing, ordering, payment, delivery) happens outside fb.tools and is governed by the privacy policies of the third-party shops.
5. Catalog: visitor data
Browsing the catalog is anonymous — no account login is required or offered. Only your own UI preferences are kept in your browser's localStorage:
- Selected language (ru / en / uk / th) and theme (light / dark).
- List of products and shops you've hidden from the listing, plus the page size you've chosen.
- Filter and sort state, so it persists between visits to the page.
This data stays only in your browser, is not tied to your identity, and is not transmitted to FB.Tools servers. You can clear it through your browser (Site data → Clear) or by using private/incognito mode.
6. Usage analytics (Google Analytics 4)
FB.Tools services use Google Analytics 4 to measure reliability and stability. The Extension sends events to the stream with Measurement ID G-TES7NC7H4C: popup_opened, section_started, section_loaded, section_failed, token_extraction_failed; events carry the extension version, Service Worker session ID, anonymous client_id, section type (facebook / adaccounts / pages / bms), load duration and error type. The fb.tools website (including the catalog) sends events to the stream with Measurement ID G-L9Q77NNFJ6: page views, language/theme switches, product card opens and redirects to shops. Token values, account names, balances, ad account IDs, search queries about personal data and any other personal information are NOT sent to Google Analytics.
7. Third-party services and request destinations
FB.Tools services communicate with the following external destinations only:
- graph.facebook.com — official Facebook Graph API. Used by the Extension to fetch the list of ad accounts, Pages and Business Managers.
- business.facebook.com, www.facebook.com — Facebook GraphQL API. Used by the Extension to fetch account quality and billing data.
- www.google-analytics.com, www.googletagmanager.com — receive anonymous analytics events from the Extension and from the catalog website.
- Third-party shop websites — you only reach them as a result of your own click on a product or shop card in the catalog. Once you've left fb.tools, the privacy policy of the respective shop applies.
Beyond the destinations listed above, FB.Tools services do not share your data with third parties and do not transmit data to FB.Tools servers beyond what is explicitly described in sections 2–6.
8. Your rights and data management
Users in the EU, UK, California and other jurisdictions with extended data subject rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA / CPRA) retain all statutory rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability. Since FB.Tools does not persist personal data on its servers, most rights are fulfilled client-side: for the Extension — disable or uninstall it from chrome://extensions (Chrome / Edge) or about:addons (Firefox), which clears local storage and stops analytics; for the catalog — clear the site's localStorage and cookies through your browser (Settings → Site data → Clear) or use a private window. You can also write to legal@fb.tools — we'll help with any question regarding the processing of your data.
9. Age restrictions
FB.Tools services are intended for adult digital advertising professionals. They are not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18; FB.Tools does not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the services evolve. The current version is always available at fb.tools/en/privacy with the date of last update. Material changes will also be noted in the Extension description and in the release notes of the corresponding version.
11. Contact
For questions about data processing in the Extension or the fb.tools catalog please write to legal@fb.tools. We aim to respond within 30 days.
